Mali Dusan

That's right folks, it's baby time... What?! No, of course not for us, jeez! Natalija's best friend, Natasa, had a beautiful baby boy, Dusan (pronounced Natasha and Dushan, respectively). We've held on to these pics for a good bit, so that mali Dusan can have the spotlight he deserves.
Enjoy,

Croatian Vacation, Part 2

Here we go... So we spent two nights in the old town of Split, renting out a bed in the hostel owned by an old hippy lady called Meri - the room smelled like petuli and she had dolphins and rainbows painted all over the walls. Split is absolutely fabeautiful, nothing more I can say about it. Then we took a fairy to this island Hvar. The town of Hvar is built on the hill, keeping all of its locals (and turists for that matter) in good shape. Like many old towns in Croatia, Hvar has a ton of long, narrow streets going every which way, small fairy-tale looking balconies that offer vibrant hanging flowers, some walls and fortresses to be seen in the distance. We stayed at the hostel again, this time surrounded by the world-travelling Australians and English folks. Friendships were made and many stories exchanged while hanging out on the main square in the evenings. Our last night there happened to be the night of the full moon, meaning that taxi boats kept running from Hvar to an even smaller island where the "pun mesec" party took place. It was here that we spontaneously decided to return to the next evening and spend another night camping out with our Australian friend. This concluded our wonderful trip to Croatia, 2009.

Croatian Vacation Pt. 1

Alright everybody, this is part the first of our time spent along the Croatian coast. We left Beograd on 25, August on the overnight bus and arrived back by train on 7, September early in the morning. A lot happened in between. The following are some of the best pics from the first half of the trip. We started out in a small-ish beach town called Makarska and slowly made our way to a bigger city called Split. After Split, we went to an island called Hvar, and then to another called Stipanska for some camping. The next post will pick up from Split until we left to come back. Love to all!

What could we do? The Roman Legion was one of the greatest fighting forces the world has ever seen. We didn't stand a chance...

Look closely...

Seriously, everywhere we went in Split, there was something really cool to take pictures of. This woman is making giant bubbles that look like the weird space-time worm-holes from that movie Donnie Darko. Later she did fire dancing in the square. Really, everywhere there was something cool!

We tried, Brodie... we tried.

Stay tuned for more. It takes a really long time to upload pictures onto this stupid blog...

So Tired...

... We haven't slept a wink.

Just got back from Croatia. We were there for 12 days. Our travel time by boat/train from the island we ended up camping on was somewhere just over 20 hours back to Beograd. Pictures will be up soon, but we need a shower and a sleep first.
